Become a Volunteer

You can volunteer your time by helping us in so many ways. We need volunteers to do teaching, office/ clerical work, and communications. Please contact our office at (901) 327-2473 to hear more information about our volunteer program.

New Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteer education instructors/tutors to assist with the L.E.T.S. (Life, Education, Training, Skills) Program. The L.E.T.S. Program is designed to provide training, resources, and education to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Volunteers are needed in the following subject areas: Money Management, Sex Education, Health & Wellness, Benefits Planning, Job Readiness, and Nutrition.

This is a great opportunity for retired educators and/or college students. Volunteer instructors/tutors must have knowledge of the basic subject areas. Teaching or tutoring experience helpful, but not necessary as training will be provided.  Must be able to commit to at least 2 hours per week as classes are offered Tuesday through Thursday from 9am - 2pm.
